Introduction to the Principles with Promise Series

The Principles with Promise Series catalogs principles found in holy writ, scripture, the word of God or the word from God valued by a variety of religious persuasions. 

The process or method employed by the author to extract principles from scripture and cataloging them by key word or subject similarities was painstakingly accomplished one verse at a time over a period of years.

Principles are not only identified and categorized by key words, they are linked and cross referenced to different subject areas, both by the key word it is listed under, but also between the other key words found within the selected verse.

Collectively, these principles seem to have a natural organization or order, and though each principle is independently declared at times, they are all interrelated in some way.  The author describes this order as being analogous to a rainbow with its many colors blending one into another – only this rainbow begins with a white light emanating outward from the center to the magnificent colors representing the principles that govern our world and our relationships with God, our fellowman, and other topics of importance. 

While the initial Principles with Promise publications have already captured many principles cataloged under hundreds of key words for Latter-day Saints and other Christian sects, this is only the beginning of the Series.  Work has already begun to catalog principles from other religious text and translations which are considered scripture for that body of practitioners.

It is envisioned that this Series is like the rainbow with its endless array of colors and whose end you can never quite see.  Work will also continue on the next edition of the existing publications, a multi-hued version filled with all of the feedback received from you, the reader, on how to make it better, more complete, more correct.

So here it is, a new kind of concordance to help you navigate your own sweet journey through the scriptures you wish to understand, principles recorded for our benefit.  These principles represent the laws that govern life – God given principles that are unchanging, universal and eternal.  It is my own personal experience that each opportunity taken to review, study or search these principles is another step towards learning, and more especially knowing for yourself that they are true.
